Screencast: Customizing the Player in Articulate Storyline
The weekend screencasts throughout Screencast February will be throw-backs to previously recorded and published screencasts; however, there’s no doubt that you’ll still find them useful!
Screencast: Interactive Tables in Articulate Storyline
Today, I wanted to share with you how I created an interactive table using the timeline and states. I used this technique on a recent project, with 30-40 slide objects, and a very tedious looking Triggers Panel, but in the demonstration below, I’ve simplified it to make it a bit more manageable.
I think this technique, using the hidden and normal states for slide objects, can be used for a variety of projects, but I’m confident you can find some very tangible uses for this technique in the form of an interactive table.

Click and Reveal: Converting Layers to States
Some people like to program their click and reveal interactions using layers, and some people like to program their click and reveal interactions using states. In this demonstration, I show you a project I had previously created, which uses layers for a click and reveal interaction. I then show you how you can create a similar effect using the Selected state.
The main benefit (to me) of using states for these click and reveal interactions is that it cuts down on the congestion of your slide layers, which can be beneficial for organizational purposes.

Creating Custom Questions Using Convert to Freeform: Pick Many
I inadvertently took a month off blogging (and I needed it!), so I decided to come back in full effect by doing a month of screencast Storyline demonstrations. This sounds ambitious to me, but I’ve got a lot of Storyline demos lined up, and I think most of them are going to address a practical need for many e-learning developers, so stay tuned!
Oh! Also! Incase you’re wondering, there will be a smattering of Storyline 2 and Storyline 360 demos throughout the month – I don’t want folks to feel excluded!
The first screencast I want to share is how I create custom questions using convert to freeform. In this video, I’ll be demonstrating how I create a custom pick many interaction, so if you’re interested, check out the video below.
Screencast: Using the Object Intersects Trigger in Articulate Storyline 360 #video
With the release of Articulate Storyline 360 comes some new triggers, and I know you’ll find a ton of ways of using these triggers, but I thought I would quickly illustrate one way (a very obvious way) that you can employ the When: Object Intersects trigger in Storyline 360.
