Yesterday, Articulate announced the release of Articulate Storyline 3, which is huge for all of those folks who were a bit saddened by the release of Articulate 360. Now, you can choose to purchase a stand-alone, perpetual license of Storyline 3 – Hooray!!!
One of the most exciting new features in Storyline 3/360 is the addition of closed captioning import capabilities. Today, I show you how to add closed captioning to your audio files in Storyline 3, and a huge shoutout to VoiceBase, because they were the great folks who provided my caption file (for free – check them out).

I have a question: Does the caption file have to be .srt, or can it be a .doc? Thanks for this video, by the way! It was super useful!
Ashley says
The Storyline closed captioning supports SRT, SUB, VTT, and SBV caption files – no .doc.
