Screencast: Send to Front/Send to Back Functionality in Articulate Storyline

May 4, 2017

Today’s screencast is another time-saving tip! This one discusses using the Send Front and Send Back functionality in Articulate Storyline. This function allows you to easily move slide objects to the foreground or background on the timeline, and will definitely save you some time. Especially if you tend to duplicate slides and move objects around.

Screencast: Link to Slide Functionality in Articulate Storyline

May 2, 2017

In the previous screencast I shared the Link to Slide functionality, so I thought it was only appropriate to demonstrate the Link to Slide functionality in Articulate Storyline. I’ll be honest, I don’t use this functionality very often, so if you’re using it in a meaningful way, please let me know in the comments!

Screencast Throwback: Interactive Tables in Articulate Storyline

April 9, 2017

This is how I created an interactive table using the timeline and states. I used this technique on a recent project, with 30-40 slide objects, and a very tedious looking Triggers Panel, but in the demonstration below, I’ve simplified it to make it a bit more manageable.

I think this technique, using the hidden and normal states for slide objects, can be used for a variety of projects, but I’m confident you can find some very tangible uses for this technique in the form of an interactive table.

If you’re interested, check out the demo below!

Throwback Screencast: Custom Menu in Articulate 360

April 8, 2017

I was browsing around on Pinterest and came across this Filter Menu. I thought it was a pretty neat interactive menu developed for web, and wanted to see how easily I could recreate it in Articulate Storyline 360. The verdict? It was pretty easy! If you want to see how I created the menu, check out the screencast below (and endure my rambling).
